Our Humble BeginningsWilliam Gill & Sons have been in the Transport Industry in New Zealand for over 85 years.Starting back in 1924 when William Gill established William Gill Ltd in Pukekohe. Thirty years later in 1954 he founded William Gill & Sons Ltd in Huntly. As a consequence, the demands for our services increased, more and more and from further afield. In 1972 William Gill & Sons Ltd continuing expertise in truck sales and services was recognised by Todd Motors, who had just acquired the Mitsubishi franchise for New Zealand. In the same year they appointed William Gill & Sons Ltd as a Mitsubishi dealer together with their Rootes Group and Chrysler Franchises. In 1979 a branch was opened in Manukau City to service an already large customer base in the Auckland Region. Today William Gill & Sons Ltd is still a family owned and operated business. Brian Gill has personally been involved with the business since its inception. Peter Gill is the Service Manager and together with Brian Gill they are ensuring that William Gill & Sons Ltd tradition for service and 100% customer commitment continues. |
